It feels good to know that if I am ever unsure about what I am learning in class, my theory books are right there on my bookshelf to help me out. Not to mention all of the composers and terms that are necessary knowledge to be successful in professional music classes and settings. All of this creates the possibility for me to move on to higher levels and be more challenged than if I had to start from the basics.
